The New Novel

FINDER'S MAGIC   Finder's Magic

1911: Atlanta, Georgia.
Why would mill supervisors murder a young textile worker?  That’s what Hank McCord wants to know when he witnesses the death of his best friend.

Hidden in a boxcar, Hank discovers another witness, Calvin Yates, a young Negro boy.  There is immediate tension and distrust between the boys.

Enter “The Finder”: conjure woman, witch, finder of lost things.  Though blind, the old woman “sees” things - and has other powers Hank finds nearly as terrifying as the murderers on his heels.

 The murderers frame the boys for their crime. Can Finder’s magic save them?  Will the two boys, in spite of their differences, create some magic of their own and solve the mystery - or die trying?

Here are some comments about the book so far;

In the spirit of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer, C. M. Fleming takes the reader to a magical place.  Strong characters abound as Finder’s Magic reveals a simpler time where the choices were fewer but often deadly.  Through well-written, provocative prose, Fleming builds the story to a thrilling climax.  A great read!"

I absolutely loved "Finders's Magic".  I loved the way I could picture everything the characters were going through almost like I was there.  I have told all my friends to read it.
